– the perfect base for people who are active,
love culture and savour good food
The Sparerhof in Vilpian lies halfway between Bozen and Meran. Throughout the year, active people, lovers of culture and delicious food have plenty of possibilities here to move around and do sports, to experience history, art and culture or to simply enjoy.
The cities of Bozen, Meran and Brixen are to be reached comfortably on a half-hourly schedule via means of public transport. The nearby cycle path that runs along the river Etsch invites you to go both on short unhurried or longer bicycle tours. Mountain bikes can also be rented on-site.
You can hike here in the Etschtal valley and the surrounding mountains all year long. With a cable car you can ‘levitate’ in just a few minutes from Vilpian to Mölten and the unspoiled nature of the Salten plateau.
The ones who like swimming can do this either in our outdoor pool or in the nearby lakes of Montiggl and Kaltern.
Even in winter, nothing remains to be desired: one can visit the famous Christmas fairs, one of the numerous museums – such as the Ötzi-museum in Bozen, or can just go outside and get some fresh air. In not more than 20 to 50 minutes you can reach various ski areas of the Ortler Skiarena, a big ski region, including Meran 2000, Schwemmalm, Vigiljoch, Reinswald or the Rittner Horn. For the ones who want to try out all of them there is one ski pass that allows you to wedel down the slopes of all these ski areas.
You can also enjoy your holiday at the Sparerhof by savouring the refined regional cuisine, selected specialities and wine from our well-assorted wine cellars. Alternatively, you can eat at the numerous, varied restaurants in the surrounding area. Another pleasurable activity is golfing on the new golf course ‘Blue Monster’, which lies only a 10 minute drive away from our hotel.
Here in the Hotel Sparerhof in the Etschtal valley, every season has its very own charms and attractions: the apple blossom in spring, pure joy and ease in the asparagus season, with warm summer evenings and refreshing mountain experiences, a riot of colours in autumn, Christmas spirit in the Advent season or pure winter feeling on the ski slopes and while hiking. We enjoy living here – visit us and get to know the diversity, too!
