Hänsel and Gretel

Last week, Tuesday, a day of reflection and well-deserved rest for the concierge who had to take the hotel limousine to Lana, to the inspection center.
Upon returning from Lana, as expected, the concierge took public transport, which leaves directly from the inspection centre. While waiting for the bus, the concierge's thoughts were on the mountain, on top of that mountain, directly in front of the bus stop. The bus arrived and the dream was shattered. Until today….
Starting a few steps from the hotel, from the bus stop that takes us first to Prissiano and then to Tesimo, passing in front of two castles, which resemble two fairytale castles.
Once you arrive at the Lana bus station, the new cable car starts just 100 meters away, completely renovated and which goes up to Monte San Vigilio, a section closed to traffic. The cable car has existed since 1912, the third oldest in Europe.
Walking in the woods you pass by romantic houses, where Hänsel and Gretel from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale could live. The only thing missing was "I light the fire in the oven to bake the bread…”.
Empty houses not inhabited this season as they are used exclusively as holiday homes during the summer season.
We walk also encountering places of historical-cultural interest that enrich our excursion, such as the small church of Monte San Vigilio.
We then come to a small lake with a biotope with an adjoining welcoming inn to rest your bones.
After a nice rest in the sun we set off again on the panoramic path to return to the cable car that takes us back to the valley.
We have seen Hänsel and Gretel's house. Luckily there was no sign of the fox on this splendid day.
Will the concierge dream about the fox tonight? Let's hope not!!!
